Tileston
MARY WILDER, an American author, born in Salem, Mass., Aug. 20, 1843. She was the daughter of Caleb and Mary Wilder (White) Foote, and was married to John Boies Tileston in 1865. Among her many works are: "Quiet Hours," a book of poems (1874); "Selections from Marcus Aurelius Antoninus" (1876); "Selections from the Imitation of Christ" (1876); "The Blessed Life" (1878); "Selections from Fénelon" (1879); "Selections from Dr.
John Tauler, (1882); "Heroic Ballads, (1883); "Daily Strength for Daily TILESTON TILLY Needs" (1883); "Sugar and Spice" Suffolk, the year after preached at Lin- (1885); "Tender and True" (1892); coln's Inn, where his mild, evangelical, "Selections from Isaac Penington" but undoctrinal morality was at first lit- (1892); "Prayers, Ancient and Modern" (1902); "Joy and Strength for the Pilgrim's Day" (1902); "Memorials of Mary Wilder White" (1903); "Children's Treasure Trove of Pearls" (1908); "The Child's Harvest of Verse" (1910); "Caleb and Mary Wilder Foote" (1918).
