Tyler (City and county-seat of Smith)

a city and county-seat of Smith co., Tex.; on the St. Louis Southwestern and the International and Great Northern railroads. It contains Tyler College, a court house, public library, the western and the International and Great National banks, and a number of daily, weekly, and monthly periodicals. It has Charnwood Institute, numerous churches, National banks, and a number of daily, TYLER tile and pottery works. Pop. (1910) 10,400; (1920) 12,085.
