Chloride of Cobalt

Dissolve 4260. Butyrine. An oily fluid obtained carbonate of cobalt in muriatic acid; the so- from butter. Keep clarified butter in a porlution deposits rose-colored crystals on standing, which contain water. By evaporating the solution, anhydrous blue crystals of the chloride are obtained. (Cooley.)
