Elixir of Taraxacum

Take of found among the effects of the late Dr. Chiltaraxacum root, 6 ounces (or fluid extract of ton: Take 5 pounds of Turkey opium, cut in taraxacum, 6 ounces); liquorice root, 1 ounce; simple syrup, 24 pints. The dry ingredients must be reduced to a suitable degree of fineness for percolation. Moisten the powder with 6 ounces alcohol diluted with twice its bulk of water, then pack in a conical percolator and pour on of the alcohol and water mixture until 6½ pints are obtained, then add the syrup and mix them.
