Furniture Polish (Dissolve then having mixed)
Dissolve 4 then, having mixed some very finely pow-cohol; add to this 2 pints linseed oil, and 1 dered Tripoli with linseed oil, polish the work pint spirits of turpentine; when mixed, add with a rubber made from a piece of old hat or 4 ounces sulphuric ether, and 4 ounces amfelt, as you would polish varnish, until the monia water ; mix thoroughly. Shake when desired effect is produced. If the work be ebony, or black rosewood, take some eldercoal, powdered very fine, and apply it dry after you have done with the Tripoli. It will increase the beauty of the polish. used, and apply with a sponge lightly. This is an excellent article, especially where the varnish has become old and tarnished.
