Mialhe's Syrup for Hoarseness
Take. 15 parts syrup of gum-arabic, 5 parts syrup of tolu, 5 parts maiden-hair, 1 part nitrate of potassa, and 1 part cherry-laurel coughs of children; in whooping-cough, however, it ought not to be used for the first ten days of the disease. This liniment is understood to be the same as the celebrated embrocation of Roche.
