To 213 parts of powdered ferroprussiate of potash, in a porceliain basin, add 450 parts of nitric acid of 1.42 density (or 337+ parts at 1.50), is usually applied by means of a common furnace, but a steam or water bath is preferable, as the temperature required for this purpose does not exceed 200° Fahr.
