Peruvian Tooth Paste

This is formed by adding about 1½ to 2 drachms of Peruvian bark, in very fine powder, to every ounce of the dry ingredients of any simple tooth paste, before beating them up with honey or syrup. A useful tonic for tender, spongy, foul, or scorbutic gums, and said to fix loose teeth. A little powdered myrrh is sometimes added.
