Poor Man's Plaster
Take nide of potassium, 3½ fluid ounces distilled bees'-wax, 1 ounce; tar, 3 ounces; resin, 3 water, and 1/2 fluid ounce lemon syrup. Dose, ounces. To be melted together and spread a table-spoonful every 2 hours. Useful to check vomiting, and allay cough; and, in much smaller doses, for whooping cough in children.
