Quince Mucilage

The mucilage of quince seeds may be made by boiling for 10 minutes 1 drachm quince seeds in 1/2 pint water, and straining. This is sometimes used as a bandoline, but it soon decomposes, and, therefore for that purpose, only very small quantities should be prepared.
