Rhubarb Pills

Mix 3 drachms powdered rhubarb and 1 drachm soap with water to make 60 pills. the green solution, heated, and afterwards 2 fluid drachms water. Evaporate over a waterbath with constant stirring, to a mass, and divide it into 300 pills. Dissolve CO grains balsam of tolu in 1 fluid drachm ether, shake the pills in the solution until uniformly coated, and place them on a plate, occasionally stirring them until dry.
