Salve for Sore Breasts
Take 1 pound tobacco, 1 pound spikenard, 1 pound of cumfrey, and boil them in 3 quarts chamber-lye till almost dry; squeeze out the juice, add to it pitch and bees'-wax, and simmer it over a moderate heat to the consistence of salve. Apply it to the part affected.
