To Dye with Palatine Orange

The palatine orange dye is prepared in a similar manner to magenta. (See No. 2575.) Render the bath slightly acid by bichloride of tin, and dye at the boiling point. A very fast, but not very brilliant orange is produced. The color may be combined with magenta or indigo paste.
