Wash to Darken the Hair

Take of rust of iron, 2 drachms avoirdupois; old ale (strongest), 1 Imperial pint; oil of rosemary, 12 to 15 drops; put them into a bottle, very loosely cork it, agitate it daily for 10 or 12 days, and then, after repose, decant the clear portion for use. (See No. 1183.)
