6.-SCREW TIP. loose; sewing pieces of leather on the fingers of an ordinary glove is a favourite device among ladies, and is not a bad one, provided the leather is not soft or spongy.

The tab (Fig. 7) has many advocates, but it is not easy to use, and the beginner had best be satisfied with tips, or leather sewn on a glove. The tips, which are sold fastened together, to strap round the wrist, are to be avoided, as they never fit all three fingers.
