2. The goal crease shall be a marked line enclosing a square space 12 feet by 12 feet, laid out 6 feet in front and behind, and 3 feet to either side of the goal posts.

IV. THE BOUNDARIES.

The boundaries of the field of play shall be agreed upon by the Captains before the com- [LACROSSE mencement of the match. Should the ball be thrown out of bounds, the Referee shall, unless the Captains have arranged otherwise, call "Stand," and the ball shall then be "faced" by the two nearest players not less than four yards within the bounds at the point where the ball went out.
