A name given to the subdominant chord with the 6th over its fundamental added, thus: FACD. This explanation of this combination is not now generally accepted.

Affabile (It.) (af-fah'-bee-leh). affably; agreeably.

Pleasing; Affannato (It.) (af-fah-nah'-to) [from affanno, anxiety]. Distressfully. Affannosamente (It.) (af-fah-no-sah-men'teh). Restlessly.
