A short simple air, originally with words that contained a moral.

Divertimento (It.) (dee-ver-tee-men'-to), Divertissement (Fr.) (dee-vehr-tiss-mong). (I) A pleasing, light entertainment. (2) A composition or arrangement for the piano; this is the most usual meaning. (3) A suite or set with a number of movements for instruments, called also a serenata.
