Glide

(I) To connect two sounds by sliding. (2) A modern variety of the waltz.

Glissando, Glissato, Glissicato, Glissicando (It.). To play a scale on the piano forte by drawing the finger along the keys.

Only possible in the natural scale. In violin playing, to slide the finger rapidly from one "stop" to the next.
