Legatura (It.) (leh-gah-too'-ra)

A tie.

Legatura di voce (de-vo-cheh). A group of notes sung with one breath; a vocal phrase, Legend, Légende (Fr.) (leh-zhend), Legende (Ger.) (leh-ghen'-deh). A name given to an extended lyric composition, somewhat in the manner of “program music." [Cf. Chopin's Légendes.]
