Paraphrase

An elaborate arrangement of a piece of music for the piano, originally written for the voice, or for some other instrument. An orchestral paraphrase is a like arrangement of a vocal or pianoforte composition.

Parlando, Parlante (It.) (par-lan'-do, parlan'-teh). Declaiming; singing in recitative style; playing in imitation of vocal recitative.
