GERMANTOWN, Pa., June 29, 1892. $3000.

For value received, I promise to pay Smith & Brown, or order, three thousand dollars, in the manner following, viz.: one thousand dollars in one year, one thousand dollars in two years, and one thousand dollars in three years, with interest on all said sums, payable semi-annually, without defalcation or discount. $5000.
