Things on the Table

1. Matters which have been laid on the table can only be called up when the class of business to which they belong is in order. 2. If laid on the table by a motion, they can only be lifted from it by a motion. If laid there under rules, as a matter of course, they can be called up by any member as a matter of right, when the business to which they belong is reached in its regular order. 3. But it is deemed discourteous, when the matter lies on the table, to call it up in the absence of the mover, or against his wishes, if present, provided it refers to a matter of local or private concern, in the mover's special charge; and provided, further, that it is not designed or calculated to delay final action on any measure or proposition before the body, or impede the progress of business, RESOLUTIONS.

All resolutions must be committed to writing, if demanded, and the name of the mover should be signed thereto.
