Antiphon
The most ancient of the ten orators, born at Rhamnus in Attica, B. c. 480. He - belonged to the oligarchical party at Athens, and took an active part in the establishment of the government of the Four Hundred, в. c. 411, after the overthrow of which he was brought to trial, condemned, and put to death.
