Ganymedes

A beautiful youth of Phrygia. He was taken to heaven by Jupiter while tending flocks on Mount Ida, and he became the cupbearer of the gods in place of Hebe. Garumna (Garonne). One of the chief rivers of Gaul, rising in the Pyrenees, flowing northwest through Aquitania, and becoming a bay of the sea below Burdigala (Bordeaux).
