Ganges
The greatest river of India, which it 124 IOOO CLASSICAL CHARACTERS divided into the two parts named by the ancients India intra Gangem (Hindostan), and India extra Gangem (Burmah, Cochin China, Siam, and the Malay Peninsula).
It rises in the highest part of the Emodi Montes (Himalaya), and flows by several mouths into the head of the Gangeticus Sinus (Bay of Bengal).
