London, Jack

Jack (1876-), an American author. He was born in San Francisco and received his education at the University of California. While still a boy, he went to sea before the mast. He visited the Klondike and he tramped through Canada and the United States. He has written short stories for various periodicals, and several longer tales. Among them may be mentioned The Son of the Wolf, Tales of the Far North, The God of his Fathers, The Call of the Wild, The Children of the Frost, Love of Life and Other Stories, Sea Wolf, and White Fang.
