Mabie, Hamilton Wright

Hamilton Wright (1845-), an American editor and author. He was born at Cold Spring, New York. He was educated at Williams College and the Columbia Law School. For a time he practised law in New York, but in 1884 became a member of the editorial staff of The Christian Union. Mr. Mabie has written for periodicals, and has lectured on subjects connected with literature and education. At present he is responsible editor of The Outlook. Among his works may be mentioned Norse Stories Retold from the Eddas, Short Studies in Literature, Essays in Literary Interpretation, Nature and Culture, Books and Culture, Work and Culture, and Parables of Life.
