Boardman (RICHARD an English missionary)

RICHARD, an English missionary, born in 1738. He became a member of Wesley's conference in 1763, and volunteered for service in America in 1769. He preached in New York and caught on the coasts of England. The eyes are very large, and placed far forward; the body is of a carmine color, lighter below, and with seven transverse orange bands on the back.
