Bremerton

a city of Washington, in Kitsap co. It is on Puget Sound and is on the line of the Washington Steamship Company. The city is the seat of the Puget Sound navy yard, which occupies nearly 250 acres and has been equipped at a cost of $10,000,000. It was the scene of great activity during the World War. The city has a municipal park, a playground, a public library, theaters, and other public buildings. Its industries include machine shops, cigar factories, sheet metal works, etc. Pop. (1910) 2,993; (1920) 8,918.
