Falmouth (Town in Barnstable co Mass)

a town in Barnstable co., Mass.; on Buzzards Bay, Vineyard Sound, and on the New York, New Haven and Hartford railroad, at the extreme W. end of Cape Cod; 50 miles S. E. of Boston. It is the center of an agricultural and cranberry region. It is best known as containing the WOODS HOLE (q. v.) Station of the United Commission.
