Greenwood (City of Mississippi)
a city of Mississippi, the county-seat of Leflore co. It is on the Southern and the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley railroads. The city is the center of an important cotton-growing district and its industries include the manufacture of oil, cotton compresses, furniture, wagons, ice, lumber, etc. The notable buildings include a Carnegie library, Elks' Home, a court house, and school buildings. Pop. (1910) 5,836; (1920) 7,793.
