JAMES HENRY, an American actor; born in New York City, March 15 , 1800. He was particularly successful in impersonating Yankees and but was best known by his Falstaff, which he played first about 1832.
He wrote "Notes and Comments on Shakespeare " (1863). He died in Jamaica, N. Y., Dec. 28, 1871.
