Herrin

a city of Illinois in Williamson co., on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy, the Illinois Central, and the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern railroads. It is the center of an impor- tant coal mining region and has industries which include machine shops, a foundry, and a powder plant.
