WOODS, an American physician and writer; born in Selby, England, in 1862. He graduated from Penn College in 1880 and studied medicine at the University of Michigan. He was professor of anatomy at the State University of Iowa from 1891 to 1896, and professor of comparative pathology at the University of Buffalo from 1896 to 1900. He served as lecturer and professor of several New York hospitals and was also lecturer at the London Medical Graduates' College. College. His published articles on medical subjects were widely read.
