Jonesboro
a city of Arkansas, the county -seat of Craighead co.

It is on Lake City, and Eastern railroads. It is an important industrial city and has manufactures manufactures of flour, lumber, peanutmachinery, cotton oil, baskets, machinery , etc. It is also the distributing center of an extensive agricultural region. It has the State agricultural school, an Elks Home, Federal building, and a hospital. Pop. (1910) 7,123; (1920) 9,384.
Provençals and northern Frenchmen, a JONGLEURS (zhông-glur'), among class of minstrels during the Middle Ages who sang and often composed frequented courts, tournaments, castles, poems, songs, and fabliaux, and who and towns for that purpose. They made a trade of song, poetry, and story-telling, and are distinct from the knightly poets, the Troubadours and Trouvères.
We find them also named indifferently ménestrels (minstrels) or ménestriers.
Two of their number, Jacques Grure and Hugues-le-Lorrain, founded the church of St. Julien in 1331. a town of Sweden, capital of the län or JONKOPING (yuhn'huh-ping), a -ping), county of Jönköping; at the S. end of burg. It is famous for its safety Lake Lake Wetter, 115 miles E. of Gothenmatches; paper, carpets , tobacco, etc., are also made.
Here peace was signed between Sweden and Denmark in 1809.
