New Rochelle
a city of New War College, United States Training York in Westchester co., about 16 miles NEWRY from the Grand Central Station, New York City. It is on Long Island Sound and on the New York, New Haven and Hartford, and the New York, Westchester and Boston railroads. It is one of the best known suburbs of New York City. There is a public library, a high school, a hospital, and several private schools. New Rochelle was for many years the home of Thomas Paine. It has important manufacturing interests.
