Sedgwick (ELLERY an American Editor born)

ELLERY, an American Editor, born in New York in 1872. He graduated from Harvard in 1894, and for a time taught at Groton School. From 1896 to 1900 he was assistant editor of "The Youth's Companion," and subsequently became editor of "Leslie's Magazine," and the " American Magazine." He purchased and became the editor of the "Atlantic Monthly ." He was a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and of several historical societies.
