meteors which appear about Nov. 20, and which have their radiant in Taurus. Fire balls are occasionally seen among them.
Taylor
a borough of Pennsylvania in Lackawanna co. It is on the Lackawanna River and on the Central of New Jersey, the Delaware and Hudson, and the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western railroads. It is the center of an important coal mining region and has manufactories of silk. Pop. (1910) 9,060; (1920) 9,876.

a town in the State of Puebla, Mexico. It has a mineral spring and there are the ruins of magnificent temples. It is 125 miles S. E. of the City of Mexico. Pop. about 9,000.

an instrument for determining the distance of an object whose linear dimensions are known, from its apparent length or height, when viewed between two parallel wires of a telescope.
Teleosaurus
a genus of fossil crocodiles, the remains of which occur in the lower Jurassic rocks. They are found associated with marine fossils, and the peculiar modification of their skeleton seems to have specially fitted them for an aquatic life.
Telescope Fish
or TELESCOPE prized of the many varieties of Cyprinus ( Carassius) auratus, the goldfish. The Cyc-Vol. 1X TELESCOPE FISH dorsal fin is absent, the tail is much enlarged, sub-triangular or tri-lobate, and the eyes which are large and protruding, are set in pedicels.
