Thompson (HUSTON United States Federal)

HUSTON, United States Federal Trade Commissioner; born in Lewisburg, Pa., 1875; graduated from Princeton in 1897, then studied law at the New York Law School. He began his law practice in 1899 in Denver, Colo., became lecturer on law at the University of Denver Law School (1903-6), then assistant attorney-general of Colorado (1907-9). In 1913 he became an assistant attorney-general of the United States.

In 1918 he was appointed Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission to fill an unexpired term and was re-appointed in 1919.
