Beach's Treatment of Tape- relief
Worm. Dr. Beach effectually cured a 5657. Remedy for Diarrhea. Tincpatient who had been tormented with a tape-ture of opium, spirits of camphor , essence of worm for 25 years. His treatment was as peppermint, ethereal tincture of capiscum, of follows: Cowhage stripped from the pod, a cach ounce; syrup of kino, 1 ounce; neusmall tea-spoonful 3 times a day to be taken, tralizing cordial, 2 ounces (see No. 5666); fasting, in a little arrow-root jelly; then oc- brandy, 2 ounces. Mix. Dose, one tablo- . Dose, one tablecasionally a purgative of mandrake. In con- spoonful, may be given every twenty minutes if the case is urgent. In dysentery give 1 table-spoonful 3 times a day. This is an excellent remedy.
