Honey Water
(With Honey.) 2 pounds fresh roses in 2 quarts alcohol of 950 White honey, 8 ounces avoirdupois; coriander and 1 pint water for 12 hours; then distill by seed, 8 ounces; fresh lemon-peel, 1 ounce; means of a water-bath. If a superior article cloves, ounce; nutmeg, benzoin, styrax is required, the alcoholate thus prepared may calamita, of each 1 ounce; rose and orange- be used to macerate 2 pounds more roses, and flower water, of each 4 ounces; rectified then distilled as before. spirit, 3 Imperial pints; digest for a few days, and filter. Some receipts add 3 drachms of vanilla, and direct only 1/2 ounce of nutmeg, storax, and benzoin.
