Logwood, Lilac or Puce

Dye a good shade of Prussian blue (see No. 131); then work 15 minutes in a decoction of 1 pound logwood at 140° Fahr.; lift, and add 4 ounces alum; work 10 minutes, then wash in cold water and dry.
