Rose Bandoline

Steep 6 ounces the nitrate to 1 fluid ounce of distilled water; gum tragacanth for 30 hours in 1 gallon rose- weaker ones, for brown, with only 1 drachm water, stirring frequently; strain through a cloth, and let it stand for a few days; then strain again and work into it 4 drachms oil of roses.
