Sirop Capillaire

Maidenhair in 3 ounces water) to each gallon. Mix by Syrup. Take 1 pound maidenhair herb, and shaking well in a bottle, then add 4 ounces 5 gallons boiling water. Macerate till cold; gum solution, made by dissolving 2 ounces strain without pressing, so as to get 5 gallons; fine white gum-arabic in 2 ounces warm take the whites of 3 eggs beaten to froth, and water.
