Exhaust Valve
-The valve through which the spent gases can pass away. It should open and close quickly, and provide an ample opening.
Explosions in the Silencer occur either from accumulated unburnt gas being ignited by the entry of a flaming exhaust, or due to wrong adjustment of the ignition gear, whereby the spark occurs in the cylinder so late that the explosion takes place practically when the exhaust valve has begun to open.
