Master.

Maestro al cembalo. Old term for conductor of orchestra, so called because he conducted seated at the cembalo, or harpsichord. Maestro del coro. Master of the chorus or choir.

Maestro del putti (del poot'-tee). Master of the boys (choir boys).

Maestro di capella. Master of the church; choir-master; also conductor of the music in the household of a great personage.
