Modus operandi. Manner of operation.

Modus vivendi. Often used to denote the tacit compromise by which differences of opinion, to whatever extent, are disregarded to promote peace and co-operation among men of different schools and thought.

Mollia tempora fandi.

The favorable time for speaking.

Morale, mo ral. Morality. A rebuke. A lesson. The qualities of mind or spirit which actuate men of an army or fleet.

Mot d'ordre, mo dordr. Watchword.

Multa gemens. Mourning deeply. Heaving many a sigh.
