Puck. Originally the name of a fiend, subsequently the name for that "merry wanderer of the night," styled also Robin Goodfellow, who plays so conspicious a parin Shakespeare's "Midsummer-Night's Dream." Pug, in Ben Johnson's play called "The Devil is an Ass," is evidently the same person, though Johnson makes him a goblin, or fiend, and not a fairy.

Queen of Queens. A title given by Antony to Cleopatra (B. c. 69-30), the last sovereign of the dynasty of the Ptolemies in Egypt. Queen's “ Tobacco Pipe" The. Was a name given by the custom house officers to a recently abolished kiln in the London docks which was kept burning day and night for the destruction of damaged and contraband goods. Contraband goods are now sold by public auction.
