Core-arbor
A central rectangular beam, or core bar, to which are cast on, or bolted thereto, wings which correspond in their conformation to the shape of mould or core to be made thereon. Such arbors are employed for carrying the cores of pipes and columns, round or square, especially when made in greensand. See CORE IRON.
